This drawing is made up of tiny scribbles of varying size and tone. To achieve this, I developed a ‘two- handed’ drawing technique- using both hands with a lighter grade graphite pencil in my non-preferred hand and darker in my right, I applied many layers of graphite in random scribbles.

Banksia follicles are a favourite subject- I like to try to find the beauty in them. 

Highest quality graphite on French museum grade paper will ensure this piece will not fade or discolour over time.
