Artistic Statement
I believe the role of the artist is not to make pretty things, but to challenge the viewer to question what they see and think. I do this by making images that are discernible visually and symbolically, providing the interpretation of deeper meaning. Using the flower as a motif to represent the environment, my work focuses on drawing attention to the environmental issues facing this generation and hopefully maintaining social discourse.
