Welcome to '22 with an exciting Workshop Announcement!

Hello Everyone!

Warmest welcome to 2022 from Antipodes Art!

Hasn’t it been an odd start to the year? I sincerely hope you, your friends and family have been able to navigate the pandemic without too much trouble. It certainly continues to disrupt our lives, yet I am thankful that we are safe thus far! I hope it’s the same for you and yours!

Even though Christmas and New Year was not the celebration time I was hoping it would be, you might be happy to know that I have not wasted my isolation- voluntary lockdown- hermit time over the past few weeks.

I can hear you say ‘What do you mean Naida?”

I’m glad you asked ☺️

Learn Drawing

It’s amazing how many visitors ask me about workshops in Drawing, Painting,  Photography and Photoshop. What am I offering and when are they held? There is no doubt you guys really want to learn something new but, as always, there are obstacles, like lack of time, location and so on. I know how disappointing it can be to miss out on a workshop or class because you can’t make the session or live in another time zone.

Learn Painting …

So I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, drawing on my educational experience, and have developed something that will address the problems above and turn traditional face-to-face and online learning on it’s head!

Learn Photography…

What if I said you could have personal sessions with me, learn what you want when you want, from anywhere in the world!

Sounds too good to be true right?

Using current educational research I have created a personalised method for learners to improve their skills in the Visual Arts, while in physical and /or virtual spaces.

As my wonderful subscribers, you get the first chance to participate.

Click below to see how you could learn any of these four art forms at your own pace, tailored to your interests, whenever you want.

Learn Photoshop…

Sessions start from 8th February. Limited places so get in quick!

Commissions

In the meantime I have been working on this commissioned Double Exposure triptych.

The client saw one of my existing pieces in the recent Open Studios Exhibition and loved the colours and botanic theme. So she commissioned me to create three original images in a similar botanic and colour theme.

These panels are printed on archival quality photo paper then heat sandwiched between a layer of 6mm acrylic and a metallic backing.

The result is a floating frameless look that sits off the wall surface. The clear acrylic accentuates the tonal qualities and really makes the images pop.

This method protects against heat, humidity and fading. Best of all the client loves it!

Recently hung triptych for a happy client.
