The lily appears to float in space, like a jellyfish or octopus floats in the sea. The surface of the petals are weighed down and discoloured by crude oil that covers everything it touches.
I made this picture after returning from a walk on Tanjong beach with my dogs who were covered in oil after swimming in polluted water
